Tifft's research interests are radical criminology and restorative justice.  He is collaborating with Dennis Sullivan to prepare the 2nd edition of Restorative Justice:  Healing the Foundations of our everyday lives (Willow Tree/Criminal Justice Press, 2001) and preparing an anthology on Restorative Justice for Routledge, 2005.
