Cognitive Assessment for Infants, Toddlers, and Preschoolers:
This presentation addresses the various aspects of cognitive development as they relate to assessment and to planning instruction. The five cognitive scales for children from birth to age two will be reviewed in terms of their technical adequacy and usefulness of for planning instruction.
Comprehensive Assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder:
This presentation will include a systematic and comprehensive model for assessing autism spectrum disorders, including evaluation of the various options for diagnosis as well as instructional planning. The overlap with other disorders, as well as the overlap within the autism spectrum, will be considered.
Psychoeducational Assessment of Students who are Hearing Impaired or Deaf
This seminar covers background information necessary for working with students who have a severe loss of hearing, e.g., performance on cognitive measures and the effect of cochlear implants. Conducting a comprehensive psychoeducational assessment for these students is addressed, including consideration of specific procedures and assessment options for assessing adaptive behavior, social skills, language, academics, and cognitive development.
Psychoeducational Assessment of Students who are Visually Impaired or Blind: Preschool through High School
