The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central
Association of Colleges and Schools is one of six regional
accrediting associations in the United States. The Higher
Learning Commission is recognized by the US Department of
Education and the Council on Higher Education Accreditation
(CHEA).

National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and
Administration
The Central Michigan University Master of
Public Administration Program is a NASPAA institutional member
organization. On August 5, 2006 the MPA Program
completed the NASPAA Accreditation Self-Study.
Self-Study is the first step in the NASPAA accreditation and
reaccreditation process.
