Course description and prerequisites:
Designed for students who have an interest in acquiring useful and practical vocabulary in Spanish related to business and in developing writing and speaking skills by means of discussing and writing about business relations and practices in Latin America.
Objectives:
- To express knowledge about business environment and practices in Spanish.
- To actively use business vocabulary, basic business and cultural concepts in written and oral assignments.
Methodology:
The class is going to be based on readings and discussion of topics from the book by Doyle and Fryer. Students should prepare the material (readings, vocabulary, etc) with anticipation. Other in-class activities include presentations, oral weekly reports on the latest news of specific countries, and group activities as role-plays.
