Journals Devoted to Ethics (general):
Ethics
One of the pre-eminent
philosophical journals on ethics and political theory. Although it
aims to
be interdisciplinary, its
articles are mostly written by and for philosophers and political
theorists.
Philosophy and Public Affairs
The other pre-eminent
philosophical journal of ethics, PPA is similar to Ethics in aim and
scope.
Social Theory and Practice
A bit less prestigious among
philosophers than Ethics or Philosophy and Public Affairs, this journal is more genuinly
interdisciplinary. Its articles are often more daring than those in
the slightly more stuffy
philosophical journals, and they are often also more accessible to non-philosophers.
The Journal of Value Inquiry
This journal is rather similar
to Social Theory and Practice in its tone and intellectual daring-ness.
