Temenos is the online literary journal published biannually by Central Michigan University’s Graduate Creative Writing Program. It is a space set aside for well-crafted fiction, creative nonfiction and poetry that observes, reflects, and envisages life and its many rituals. The year’s best work is selected for publication in a print anthology.

Our current issue features a fine collection of artwork, ranging from fireballs in front of the Eiffel Tower to abstract visions.

Previous issues are viewable by selecting any of the image titles at the foot of this page.

Submission Guidelines of writing, black-and-white photography and artwork are currently being accepted for our Fall 2009 issue. Please review our submission guidelines carefully prior to submitting work.

This year's editorial staff has worked hard to bring you an amazing issue. You may contact them to learn about our forthcoming print anthology.

Check us out at Facebook. Join to spread the word, gossip and discuss what rituals you partake in on a daily basis.

And T.J. Forrester's Five Star Literary Stories Blog features a nomination from Marc Macdonald and a review of Rusty Barnes' The First Time He Met a Communist.
