Anna At Eighteen

Saying goodbye,

she turns.

Wind blown hair cannot hide her face.

The world is there,

planets circling like shadows from chin to cheek.

She needs nothing

but a glance.

A slight smile from me.

Turning again,

hair straight back

like a noble flag.

She goes.
