Editor in Chief
Mike Shafer is a
second-year graduate student at Central Michigan
University and a first-year graduate assistant teaching Freshman
composition. He's currently working on a novel, 2005, and towards his
Master's degree of Arts with a fiction bend that he will complete in
the spring of 2009.
Faculty Advisor
Kim Chinquee, faculty advisor for Temenos, is
an assistant professor of
English at Central Michigan University. Her
collection of flash fiction
Oh Baby will be published in March 2008 by
Ravenna Press, and Big Cages,
her collection of prose poetry, is forthcoming
as #13 in the White Pine
Press Marie Alexander Poetry Series.
Nonfiction Editor
Crystal Harmon McMorris is working towards her
master's degree in Composition
and Communication at CMU. She has a bachelor's degree in journalism from CMU
and is a reporter and columnist at the Bay City Times, where she has earned
several Associated Press and Michigan Press Association awards for
investigative
reporting, news coverage and column-writing. She lives in Bay City with her
husband, Craig and two children, Max and Amaleah, as well as two obnoxious
cats.
Her other passions include ballroom dancing, baseball and cooking.
Fiction Editor
Marc Macdonald is
finishing up his Masters Degree at Central
Michigan University. He is currently working on a novel,
Upside Down, and preparing for a May wedding and a move to
Maryland, where he will teach high school English. He wishes
he had more interesting things to say in his bio.
Poetry Editor
Steve Covieo is interested in life-long learning, hopes to see a
homeless shelter open in Mt.
Pleasant, and wishes he
lived more
intentionally. He’s currently working on waking up on time, mastering
the fine art of water-balloon animals, and monitoring his own thoughts.
He writes poetry and abhors humor.
