  • All editions of works

  • Publications by reputable external publishers

  • A committee of library representatives and two faculty members adjudicated cases of uncertain eligibility.

  • Self-publications were not included.

  • Eligible faculty, staff members, and emeriti did not need to have been at CMU when the book was published.
