ANT 175:  Unit I

Archaeology of the Americas
Central Michigan University

The images below apply to Unit I, the first three-week unit of the course.  They are arranged in five groups and in the approximate order in which they are covered in class.  These images have been simplified and in some cases combined from individual PowerPoint slides shown in lecture.  Click on the individual thumbnail image and the corresponding full-size image should appear in a new window, which you can then print.  Do this for all images and insert these pages into your notebook to take to class.   Not all PowerPoint images used in class are reproduced below!

Note:  at least some of the images in the Archaeological Dating section will likely be covered at the beginning of Unit II rather than in Unit I.
