LMD Journal Entry #13. Speculating on Music Videos
In the next class session we'll be analyzing music videos. As
a way of preparing yourself for it watch some music videos on television
(MTV, VH-1, TNN, CMT, Nickelodeon) or through the Internet at a site like
http://launch.yahoo.com/, for at least half an hour and preferably
an hour. (Check listings for video shows as opposed to interview
or game shows. The Launch site also has a link to
The Best Videos of the
Year 2002. ) Make notes about individual songs and artists and images
from the videos, then write a response to what you've seen as a journal
entry. Bring your journal entry to class. (Due March 31)
