The Writer's Craft Journal #9

Having written a draft of the fiction assignment, take sometime to reflect on what you’ve accomplished so far. What do you think of what you’ve written? How well does it match your original intentions for the story? What did you hope to get across? What credibility does your factual material have? How well does it mesh with the fictional component of the story? What do you think readers who are going to listen to the story and try to suggest ways you might realize your intentions more fully need to know about the story before hearing or reading it? What would you like them to give the most attention to and make the most suggestions about? What areas are you hoping they’ll be able to help you in?

Reflect in writing for about 25 minutes on how this piece is coming and where you’re hoping the workshop sessions will help it to go.
