An Impromptu: Fiction in Nonfiction 2
This one may be tougher than some of the other impromptus. Think about the subject you settled on in Journal 14, whatever it was, and try to write about it from a narrative or dramatic perspective, still keeping as true to the facts about the subject as you can but nonetheless making it into a story rather than a recitation of facts. You might start by deciding who the central character is in this story and then imagining how they would have arrived at decisions or carried out actions involving your subject. Once you’ve placed yourself in their shoes try to write a scene that conveys what they were going through.
