Mdtrm-Raw is the raw midterm exam score

M-X adj is the adjusted midterm exam score

F-X raw is the raw final exam score

F X Adj is the adjusted final exam score

Paper-L is the letter grade for the paper

Paper # is the numerical equivalent for the paper letter grade

Final Ave is the average, weighted as per the syllabus (Midterm 100 pts, Final, 120, paper, 80).

Adj Ave is the average adjusted by 1.5%.  As per my remarks in class, I decided that it would be fair to adjust the average for this course so that it matches the averages in my other 318 courses.  This should address any complaints about your grades being harmed by the extreme compression of this course.  As it happens, the final average for this course did come out to be very close to what I normally find in this class; this suggests that the compression of the course was less of a factor than what some students in the class seemed to think it would be.

Grade is the final letter grade that I will turn in for the course. 

The numbers afterwards are the conversion onto the 4-point scale. 

The last line on the table gives the averages for various things.  The final (adjusted) class average of 80 is almost exactly the average I normally see in this class.  The averages reflect one additional student whose grades are not posted here because s/he did not give me a PIN number.
