Faculty Positions:

Industrial/Organizational Psychologist (Tenure-track, Assistant Professor):  The Central Michigan University Psychology Department invites applications for a tenure-track position in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at the Assistant Professor level beginning in the fall semester of 2010.  A Ph.D. in I/O Psychology at the time of appointment (August, 2010) is preferred; ABD in I/O Psychology considered.  Specific area of interest is of less relevance than the potential for scholarly contribution to the field of I/O psychology and high-quality graduate and undergraduate mentoring and teaching.  Preference may be given to candidates with potential for acquiring external funding.  Send application letter, curriculum vita, publication reprints, copy of graduate transcripts, three letters of recommendation, and evidence of teaching effectiveness to:  Professor Terry Beehr, Chair of I/O Search Committee, Department of Psychology, Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant, MI  48859. PSY courses at MMCC for qualified CMU PSYCH doctoral students: Our new adjunct faculty coordinator at MMCC will probably begin making teaching assignments for our Winter 2010 semester soon. I am anticipating possible openings for the following courses and times at our Pickard campus in Mount Pleasant:

PSY.101.P08 – T/Th at 2:30-3:50 p.m.
PSY.101.P10 – T/Th at 8:30 – 9:50 a.m.
PSY.205.P01 (Abnormal Psychology) Wednesday 2:30 – 5:30 p.m.
We may also have a need for some sections of PSY 101 on our Harrison campus if anyone is willing to commute.

If any of your graduate students are interested in teaching as adjunct faculty, they can forward their resume/vitae to Maggie Magoon: mmagoon@midmich.edu. Her title is Adjunct Faculty Coordinator and she works through our Human Resources department. They may also cc our new Dean of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Dr. Todd Tarrant (ttarrant@midmich.edu) and me. One or both of us would likely interview candidates along with Maggie.

Sincerely,
