U.S. Congressman Dave Camp and other Distinguished Panelists Discuss “What Michigan’s Economy Needs.”

U.S. Congressman Dave Camp takes a moment to reflect on the “What Michigan’s Economy Needs” panel discussions with fellow panelist Political Science Graduate Assistant and MPA student Gayle Alberda.

 

    


CMU College Republicans hosted a distinguished group of panelists on “What Michigan’s Economy Needs.”  From left to right Political Science Graduate Assistant and MPA student, Gayle Alberda, Congressman Dave Camp, State Senator Alan Cropsey, Mackinac Center for Public Policy Legislative Analyst, Jack McHugh, and Mount Pleasant City Commissioner, Steve Bissell.

The CMU College Republicans hosted a panel titled “What Michigan’s Economy Needs.” Panelists included Political Science Graduate Assistant and MPA student Gayle Alberda, U.S. Congressman Dave Camp, State Senator Alan Cropsey, Mackinac Center for Public Policy Legislative Analyst Jack McHugh, and Mount Pleasant City Commissioner Steve Bissell. The distinguished panel addressed issues facing Michigan’s economy and offered solutions to improve the state’s economy. Gayle Alberda discussed education and jobs, Congressman Camp addressed Michigan’s economy and the federal government, State Senator Alan Cropsey addressed Michigan’s economy and state policy initiatives, Jack McHugh addressed both the strengths and limitations of various federal and state policies, while Mount Pleasant City Commissioner Steve Bissell addressed Michigan’s economy from a business owner’s perspective. CMU College Republicans Chair, Leslie Little moderated the panel discussion.

State Senator Alan Cropsey addresses the CMU College Republicans.

The CMU College Republicans hosted state Senator Alan Cropsey on November 9, 2005 at Central Michigan University. Senator Cropsey updated members of the audience on policy issues facing the state of Michigan such as higher education, the economy, and public safety.
