Teaching Note:  I keep discussion of these pieces at an absolute minimum, especially at the beginning of the project, when students tend to look for “the right way to do it” or “what he [that would be me] wants”.  I do provide class time for reading these essays, however, and on occasion during class sessions will refer to the craft techniques used by the writers.
