All written work will be evaluated based on the following criteria: (1) clarity and accuracy of information, (2) completeness and responsiveness to assignment, (3) organization, (4) proper grammar and spelling, including the use of gender-inclusive language as appropriate, (5) good use of examples and details to back up general points, (6) creative analysis, synthesis, insight, or original reflection. Plagiarism (presenting another person's words or ideas as your own) will be penalized and may well result in failing the course. For the university's official policies on cheating, see (with Acrobat--pdf file) CMU's Academic Integrity Policy.
