Spanish Major and Minor        Spanish Major   Spanish Minor   Spanish Courses The goal of the Spanish program is to offer highly effective courses from beginning to advanced levels. Experienced faculty provide students with the skills needed to analyze and interact meaningfully with Spanish-speaking cultures. We encourage all students to take part in our programs and many often combine their study of Spanish with another major/minor in areas such as business, broadcasting, hospitality services, and many others. Many students obtain credit for their high school courses through Advanced Placement, CLEP tests, or Retroactive Credit. A four-year program of courses for the major and minor in Spanish follows: Spanish Major / B.A or B.S. Degree
**Without previous language experience, prospective majors and minors begin with 101.
Students who have studied a foreign language must take the placement test. They are placed
higher in the sequence based on previously attained skills in the language.
