DBCentral, Michigan Services for Children & Young Adults Who Are DeafBlind, is a comprehensive, statewide
technical assistance project. We provide information, training, and
support for families and /or professionals who are impacted by or associated
with a child who is deaf-blind. Services are provided year-round, free of
charge, and can be accessed until the individual has left their educational
setting.
"Deaf-blindness means concomitant hearing and visual
impairments, the combination of which causes such severe communication and other
development and educational needs that they cannot be accommodated in special
education programs solely for children with deafness or children with
blindness." FR Part 300.7 (b) (2)
